Hi to all the JFK collectors and those individuals wanting to sell JFK items.  As a collector of over 40 years, I believe your best source for getting information and approximate value of your item is to log onto ebay.  You can scan items without having an account.  Since the John F Kennedy site normally has over one thousand items for auction, within 30 days you should be able to locate a like item you own and see what it sold for.

If you truly want to sell items, safely, I highly recommend ebay.  Once you have seen a like item for sale, see what it sold for, then price your item accordingly.  I've bought many items for way below market value simply because the seller listed it starting at USD $.99.  Also check out the seller's Feedback ratings and don't do business with those with less than 98% (volume sellers).  If you do want to buy an item and there is negative feedback, read it first.  A very small percentage of sellers and buyers are not as honest as they should be and you don't want to pay money for something and not receive it or on the other hand, ship an item to a buyer and then have the check, cashier's check, or money order bounce.

My collection is not for sale as everything I'm buying is for my two children when I pass on.  Sometime in the future I will sell some items that I have three or more of, like my JFK German Steins of which I now own eight and already gave two others to my kids this past Christmas.

If you have particular questions, I'll be glad to entertain them.

Sincerely,
Favoriteprez

Well, it is a pleasure to meet another JFK collector, as I have been an ardent collector for 38 years. My collection consists of approximately 5,000 mounted newspaper and magazine articles, hundreds of complete newspapers, hundreds of hard back and paperback books, magazines and special editions, JFK stamps and coins and other assorted memorabilia. My collection stretches back into the late 40's and I collect on 23 different people, including all U.S. Presidents during my life-time which is Herbert Hoover to present, minus Franklin Roosevelt, who died before I was born.  I started my collection on November 22, 1963 when I was just 14 years old.

Most of my magazines on the JFK and RFK assassinations are sealed in plastic and have never been opened, bought directly off the newstand, so there are no labels on them. I am new to the ebay scene but have already made some great purchases and for the most part cannot believe the low prices people are asking for some collectibles.

As of yet, I have never met or heard of anyone else that has collected as ardently as I have or has a collection such as mine. Everything is inventoried and computerized. Well, I better not bore you to much, but, would be interested in your scheme so let me know more about meeting other JFK collectors.

An ardent collector for over 38 years, I have approximately 5,000 pages of mounted newspaper and magazine articles dating back into the 50s, hundreds of magazines, books and paperbacks and a myriad of other collectibles. Although I have never sold anything, my collection is being amassed to pass on to my two children. Hence, I buy a lot of duplicate items. AM VERY INTERESTED IN MEETING SOMEONE ELSE WITH THE SAME FERVER TO COLLECT JFK AS I HAVE. I presently collect on 23 different people, especially the U.S. Presidents alive during my lifetime which is Herbert Hoover to present with the exception of Franklin Roosevelt who died before my birth. If you're interested, please feel free to email me.
